Clark’s Fresh Cut Flowers & Produce
This week we're featuring a longtime favorite of shoppers at the Market - Clark’s Fresh Cut Flowers & Produce! You will recognize Lao and his young son, Clark, because of their smiling faces and their beautiful produce and flowers.
Clark is one of three children and the family farm is named for him. He’s 10 years old, and will be going into the fifth grade this year. When you purchase some of their fresh vegetables and gorgeous flowers Clark will most likely be the one who carefully bags it all and counts your change.
Clark’s has been a staple of Norcross Community Market since the beginning. When asked what keeps them coming back, Clark quickly answered that he loves the music. Lao shared with us how the customers feel like friends.
Clark’s Fresh Cut Flowers & Produce is located in Barrow County on 5 acres. New this year in their farming methods are raised beds. Just look at what beautiful vegetables those beds are producing!
Besides vegetables they also raise gorgeous flowers - a favorite of shoppers at the Market. Plan to take a bouquet home to grace that table full of summer vegetables.
Asked about goals for the future Lao told us that they would like to buy more land and increase the size of Clark Farms.
One final question was “What else would you like everyone to know about you and your farm?” Young Clark’s enthusiastic reply was “It’s epic!” You’ve got to love that almost as much as those smiles!
Come on out to Norcross Community Market every Saturday from 9-1 through August 31st. Clark and Lao will be waiting to say hello with a smile and fresh vegetables and flowers.
In the meantime, we’d love to have you pop over to our southern food blog, Biscuits and Burlap by clicking this link. Each week we share a new recipe and it would be great to have you be part of the family.
